Protocol analyzers are tools used to capture and analyze data traffic over a communications channel or bus within a computer (PCI, USB, SATA, SAS, Firewire, Thunderbolt etc). These devices are used during the development of hardware to diagnose bus or device failures.
Data Transit produced two different architectures of analyzer: The BusDoctor Rx which could be stacked eight high and attached to a separate external, bus-specific pod for each analyzer, and the BusDoctor Plus which comprised an analyzer and pod which docked together to form a single unit.
